On Monday, February 27 at 2:30 in the Cribari Conference Room, The Villages Arts and Crafts Association will present “At Eternity’s Gate”.  This is a visionary portrait of Vincent Van Gogh’s final years.  It is a journey inside the world and mind of a person who, despite skepticism, ridicule and illness, created some of the world’s most beloved and stunning works of art.  Much of this is based on Van Gogh’s letters, but some of this comes from the imagination of the producer, Julian Schnabel and actor, William Defoe.

Some is a jumble of events that present as facts, heresy and moments that are just plain invented.  William Defoe is extraordinary in this role.  This is like no other film you have seen about Van Gogh.

Running time:  Approx. 2 hours with short break.

All Villagers and guests are welcome to this free showing.
