If drawing or painting are not your strong points, you may like Collage.  It involves moving color and shapes around on a backing to create an almost-dream like art creation.  Dreamscapes are creations in an almost meditative state which have great emotional connection to the artist.

Collage Dreamscapes will be offered to Villages as a class on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the Cribari Center Art Room.  All materials are furnished.  Price is $40 for the instructional class, but  participants may continue during Open Studio every Wednesday when all the materials will be available.

We will prepare a background on a canvas panel, practice a miniature collage, dye our own rice paper with the splash ink technique of Ming Franz, and spend much time on creating our own 16 by 20 Dream Scape.

On the following 3 Wednesdays, June 27, July 11 and July 18, Barb will offer 20 minutes of instruction at the beginning of Open Studio in mapping, souvenier collages and impasto.

Participants might wish to cut out and bring to the class 10 or so objects from slick magazines which particularly appeal to their inner vision.
