“Deeper, Darker, Richer”

Take your paintings to the next level…join Eminent Pastelist, Terri Ford for a 2 day workshop and learn how she creates her award winning pastel paintings. Getting a painting off to a strong start can make all the difference. Terri's Deeper, Darker, Richer technique does just that, both in the studio and plein air. It is highly versatile and can easily enhance your own painting style. Terri will demonstrate how the base it creates can be lightened and or brightened as much as you wish. Terri will also stress color temperature and the importance and power of “mark making.”

Terri will offer her 2 day “Deeper, Darker, Richer”  pastels workshop to Villagers on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, from 10 am until 4 pm in the Cribari Center Art Room.  The cost is $200.  You can register for this exciting workshop with Barbara at barb.gottesman@gmail.com      Checks are due to Barb by  April 11.  Terri will furnish sanded pastel paper while students bring their own photographs, 3 specific pastel colors, your own pastels on hand and a hard surface onto which to tape the sanded pastel paper.

You can see examples of Terri's award-winning art work at  www.terrifordart.com or you can view her pastel painting “Moondance 1” on the Arts and Crafts website, www.villagesartsandcrafts.org

It won first place in the annual show juried  by our outside judge, Karen La Roche.
