Printing Without A Press

Please join Pat Remington for a fun step-by-step class, Printing Without a Press!  First class, Pat will demonstrate a quick and easy way to create abstract acrylic backgrounds. Class 2, we will learn how to design and carve an image, from botanicals to birds, landscape or still life. Image ideas will be provided or bring a photo or drawing for a 5x7 you wish to carve. We’ll talk about positive and negative space and do some warm up carving. Next we will print on your prepared backgrounds. Last class you will touch-up your prints, learn how to seal and mount prints on cards and pick your favorite for a lovely natural wood frame. 

Beginners as well as experienced artists will enjoy this class!

A selection of acrylic paint, brushes, carving tools, brayers, 5x7 cards & envelopes and 5x7 wood frame with be provided.

4 classes: Tuesdays, March 24, 31, April 7, and 14.

Time: 1:00-3:30 at the Cribari Center Art Room. The fee is $60.
