Richard Diebenkorn

Richard Diebenkorn, an abstract expressionist with representational leanings was one

of the most influential artists of the post war era.  A Bay Area artist who had his first

solo museum exhibition when he was only 26 years old, he is known for his landscapes 

of California topography where he mixes a linear perspective with an aerial view.

A Stanford student and graduate of the California Art Institute, he was inspired by Hopper and Matisse, Styll and Rothko.  His paintings represent the internalization of feelings, perceptions and emotions, not just a realistic visual representation.

Come see why he is such a beloved Bay Area artist in two different documentaries that

show the broad range of his works and talent.
