Dreaming into Writing: Inspired Prompts to Encourage the Writer Within

If you're longing to write or return to writing and don't know where to start, Dreaming into Writing is a time to awaken and welcome your unique language onto the page. In this workshop, you will take away the seeds of new stories, poems or a piece of that memoir you're writing. Through creative, provocative prompts that lead you to unexpected places in your writing, we'll write, share, contemplate and grow our craft.

Whether you're new to creative writing or experienced and searching for inspiration, we'll take a deep dive into the creative process through exercises that stimulate our writing and imagination. This is a safe, comfortable space to practice your skills. Reading your work aloud is voluntary.

All levels welcome

Polishing the Heart: A Workshop for Writers Seeking Feedback

This writing workshop is for those who already have a writing project in progress (a short story, novel, memoir, group of poems), at any level of development, and are interested in honest, specific, respectful and illuminating feedback versus fault-finding. The atmosphere and tone of this workshop is relaxed, supportive and non-threatening. Each participant will submit a piece of writing in advance. During class, we will respond to your writing, using established feedback guidelines that invite you to explore ways to improve your work. Parthenia will keep track of comments and provide you with written feedback and additional suggestions for polishing your work.

Workshop limited to four people. One writing sample required before August 6 (we are not looking for perfection, but a starting place). Parthenia will send more details once you are registered.

$125
